Bulletin Board Millennium Declaration Goals (MDG)

The Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, at its Substantive Session of July 2003, decided to grant Special consultative status to the Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA), an Non-Governmental Organization of the United States.

Accompanying with the other 2,300 NGOs recognized by the United Nations, BLIA, and its subordinated chapters spread over 60 countries and regions in the world, is going to actively participate in every aspects of the UN's business. The more involvement, the more mutual understanding between the UN and BLIA will be achieved. To develop the Pure Land of Humanistic Buddhism as its major mission, BLIA should be one of the great partners with the UN organizations to promote the better future of human society.

BLIA have received the news service from the UN daily. To assist on disseminating information about the UN to reach BLIA worldwide membership and all other concerned people, we select several news relating to educational, cultural, environmental, and all other livelihood of the people, and post on the bulletin board. The purpose of this service is to build knowledge of and support for the United Nation at the grassroots level.

We also received various UN's concerns. They will be posted on BLIA website in the future for the information dissemination purpose. Any concern and suggestion can reach us at info@blia.org
